Edit listing information

After you create a product, you can complete and modify the product listing.

To edit listing information

  1. Go to Manage > Billing and Distribution > Products > productName | Edit > Profile & Branding | Listing Info. The Manage Listing Info page opens.

  2. Enter information and upload files in the Basic Information section.

    1. Company name—Enter the name of the company to associate with this product. This is the name of the application provider that appears on the product profile page where a user can purchase the product.
    2. Product name—Add a product name. This identifies and brands the product on marketplaces.
    3. Command line name—Add the command line name (a command-line-friendly name for the product).
    4. 5-word description—Enter a five-word description. Visible under the feature slogan on the feature page, this provides a description of the application. We suggest five words to fit the page design, but the field does not limit you to five words.
    5. Brief overview and SEO description—Provide a brief overview of the product. It appears on marketplace listing pages, through the marketplace recommendation engine, and as the SEO description. We recommend approximately two sentences or 250 characters. The overview displays 200 characters. If you type more than 200 characters, a Show more link displays for users to click to view the rest of the text.
    6. Starting price—Complete one of the following two options. Marketplaces display a starting price for products, the lowest price for which the product sells. The platform selects the lowest price that you configure including, for example, minimum quantities. However, you can override the default system selection. You may want to if, for example, your product requires more than the minimum purchase to be functional, so the minimum price is not realistic. This could be true if, in addition to buying your product at the system-selected price, customers also need to buy user licenses.
      • Take no action to accept the default, Automatic. The system-selected starting price displays.
      • Select Manual to override the system-selected price. Pricing fields appropriate for the pricing models that you configured, appear. Enter the price, units, and billing frequency, as applicable, to form the starting price that you want the product profile to display.
  3. (Optional) If On-Device Sales Automation is enabled for your marketplace, you can activate it for a marketplace by configuring the following two fields in the Mobile App pane:

    • Bundle ID (mandatory)—A unique identifier for your application. Note that the Bundle ID must match the one you used in Xcode in your iOS application. Contact the iOS developer of your application if you need to know what your Bundle ID is.

    • AppStore (optional)—An automatically generated ID assigned to your app by Apple. Contact the iOS developer of your application if you need to know what your Bundle ID is.

Note: These fields only appear if the On-Device Sales Automation capability is enabled for your marketplace. You can request that this functionality be enabled by contacting your AppDirect representative. Once enabled, you can only activate On-Device Sales Automation for products that you create, not products that other developers create.

  4. Complete the following steps in the Legal section.

    1. Enter a link to the Privacy Policy associated with this product, which is shown to customers before they purchase the product.
    2. Enter a link to the applicable Terms and Conditions. Customers must agree to the terms and conditions associated with this product before they complete a purchase.
  5. Upload logos as follows.

    1. Logo images should be about 512 x 512 pixels.
    2. To upload your App Listing Logo, click Choose File, navigate to the image you want to appear as the App Listing Logo, then click Save. The selected file name appears next to the Choose File button. Alternatively, you can click and drag a image into the dotted-line area.
    3. To upload your App Profile Logo, click Choose File, navigate to the image you want to appear as the App Profile Logo, then click Save. The file name appears next to the Choose File button. Alternatively, you can click and drag a photo into the dotted-line area.
  6. Define the product category.

    1. Category—Click Choose One and select a category for your product from those available in the drop-down list. The number of categories available depends on how many your organization's Marketplace Manager has configured.
    2. Sub Category—If your Marketplace Manager has configured one or more sub-categories, you can associate the product with one of them as well. Click Choose One, and select a sub-category from the drop-down list.
    3. Add another category—To associate your product with an additional category, click Add another category, and follow the same procedure just described.
  7. Do one of the following:

    • Click Save.
    • Click Save and Preview. A preview of your marketplace product profile appears. To edit a profile element, you can link directly from the preview to the configuration page for the element. See Preview product profiles.
