Import and export product settings

With the Product Settings import and export features, you can download a .zip file copy of a product, and upload one. The files include the XML and images for everything that defines a product, for example, the product profile, pricing, and configured settings. The only exception is OAuth keys and secrets, which are not included in the files.

To download products and settings
  1. Go to Manage > Billing and Distribution > Products and find the product that you want to download.
  2. Click Edit > Settings | Product Settings. The Product Settings page opens.
  3. Click Export .zip under Export profile. The file is downloaded to the default download folder on your computer.
To upload products and settings
  1. The upload function updates an existing product. It does not create one. If the product that you want to upload does not yet exist, you must create one for it. See Add products.
  2. Go to Manage > Billing and Distribution > Products and find the product that you want to update.
  3. Click Edit > Settings | Product Settings. The Product Settings page opens.
  4. Click Choose File under Import Profile. The browsing dialog appears.
  5. Select the .zip file that you want to import, then click Open. The name of the .zip file appears in the Import Profile pane.
  6. Click Import .zip. Disregard the reference to lost add-on information. It is not relevant to AppDistribution.
