Add product features

As a product Developer, you can add descriptive features and images to your product profile to help market your product.

To add features

  1. Go to Manage > Billing and Distribution > Products > Productname | Edit > Profile & Branding | Profile | Features. The Add New Feature button appears.
  2. Click Add New Feature. The Create New Feature page opens.
  3. Enter information into all mandatory fields and, optionally, enter information in the additional fields that are available. You can also upload images to complement your product profile.
    The following fields and options are available:
    • Title—A short feature title, for example Invoice creation. which also acts as a navigation and search item when customers search for features. Note: supporting text is added afterward in the form of characteristics.
    • Slogan—If desired, include a memorable description of your feature.
    • Description—Describe the feature and its importance to users. This appears below the slogan on the feature page.
    • Position—If you include more than one feature, specify the order in which each feature is displayed by selecting a position number for each feature.
    • Hide on Overview tab—Allows to you include or exclude this feature in the Features & Benefits area of the overview tab. Click the checkbox to hide the feature.
    • Image or screenshot—Click Choose File (or drag and drop an image file) to upload an image that helps describe the feature and reinforces the characteristics that you want to highlight for customers. The maximum resolution for images is 1500 x 1200 pixels.
    • Characteristic information—For each feature, enter descriptive information to generate additional customer interest in your product. Characteristics complement the feature descriptions.
      • Characteristic position—Assign a number to each characteristic to determine the order in which it is displayed.
      • Characteristic title—Enter the title that is displayed above the characteristic's description.
      • Move above picture—Select this if you want the characteristic information to appear above the feature characteristic image or screenshot. By default (when you do not select this option), characteristic information appears below the image or screenshot.
      • Description—Provide a description of the characteristic.
      • Show a checkmark next to this highlight—Click to display a checkmark next to the highlight.
      • Add Highlight—Click to add another highlight to this characteristic.
      • Add another characteristic—Click to add another characteristic to further describe this feature. Add as many characteristics as needed using this process.
  4. (Optional) Click Add another characteristic and repeat the process to add as many characteristics as required.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click Save.
    • Click Save and Preview. A preview of your marketplace product profile appears. To edit a profile element, you can link directly from the preview to the configuration page for the element. See Preview product profiles.
