Edition-level custom attributes support for bulk download and update

Minor Upgrade

With this release, Product Uploader supports bulk download and update of edition-level custom attribute values alongside product-level custom attributes. Product and edition attributes are consolidated into a single Custom attributes entity in Download Catalog and Update Catalog, and in the Full Catalog ZIP export. Marketplace Managers and catalog operators can export values, modify them in a CSV file, and upload changes using the same validations that apply in the catalog UI.

UI labels that previously referred to Product custom attributes are renamed to Custom attributes across catalog download and update workflows to reflect support for both product and edition attributes.

Download

  • Custom attributes is available for Full Catalog downloads and for entity-based Download Catalog workflows.
  • The downloaded ZIP includes a Custom Attributes CSV file with rows for product-level and edition-level attributes.
  • Entity-based downloads support filters such as Staging catalog and Product Reference ID.

Update

  • Under Update Catalog > Product Profile and Branding, use Update custom attributes to upload a CSV file, run validations, and apply changes to the staging catalog using the existing workflow.
  • Invalid rows return row-level validation errors that identify the edition or product, attribute, and reason; valid rows are still processed.

Custom Attributes CSV columns

  • Custom Attribute Entity Type — PRODUCT or EDITION. Indicates whether the row is a product-level or edition-level custom attribute.
  • Attribute Value Operation — CREATE or UPDATE. Indicates whether the value is being set for the first time or an existing value is being updated. Product-level custom attribute uploads previously supported UPDATE only.

Existing role permissions for custom attribute management apply. Changes are recorded in the Activity Log and applied to the staging catalog.
