Physical goods
Physical goods include the following product types:
- Hardware Service—A subscription-based product that a manufacturer or service provider owns and leases or rents to customers. Hardware services can be assigned to a single user or multiple users. This category includes hardware products which can be bundled with software, maintenance and installation services. The fee for software, maintenance and installation services is often usage-based—for example, for maintenance, monitoring, help desk, or other services.
- Physical Product—A physical product or recurring subscription that is owned and purchased by a single user. Physical products are tangible goods that you can touch and see. They can include phones, modems, USB keys, and so on.
The following terms are used in this documentation:
Fulfillment request—A Marketplace Manager’s request to a fulfillment service to process and ship a product.
Fulfillment service—A company that is responsible for stocking, packaging and shipping physical goods. Fulfillment services include dropshippers and other shipping providers.
Shipment—Goods to be shipped.
