Delete opportunity

The Opportunities feature is enabled when a New Lead or Purchase button appears in the upper-right corner of the page at Manage > Marketplace > Orders.

Important: Only AppDirect can enable the Opportunities feature. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request it.

Opportunities can be deleted, and thus are removed, from the opportunities page.

📝 Note: An opportunity is never permanently deleted. It can be restored by submitting a support ticket to AppDirect.

Permission to delete an opportunity is enabled by default for the Marketplace Manager. The following roles, when enabled, can delete opportunities:

  • Marketplace Managers
  • Sales Support
  • Reseller Managers
  • Resellers

Prerequisites

For users to delete opportunities, they must first have Delete Opportunities enabled for their roles.

To enable the delete opportunities feature

  1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Roles. The Role Permissions page opens.
  2. Enable the permission for each role that is allowed to delete opportunities. The selected role can now delete opportunities.

To delete an existing opportunity

📝 Note: You must have Delete Opportunities enabled to delete an opportunity.

  1. Click the trashcan icon that appears when hovering over an opportunity. A prompt appears asking if you want to delete the opportunity.
  2. Click Delete Opportunities. The opportunity is removed from the list.
