Validate templates

📝 Note: Even if Document Builder is enabled and accessible through the user interface, additional one-time configuration might be required.
Go to Manage > Reseller > Settings.
- If DOCUMENT BUILDER appears in the left menu, contact your Marketplace Manager to confirm whether it is fully enabled (meets all configuration prerequisites).
- If DOCUMENT BUILDER does not appear in the left menu, contact your Marketplace Manager to request it.

To validate templates, you can download PDFs with mock data (see Download template PDF files), and you can publish them and then view the output when the system generates invoices with the templates.

To test user-defiined published templates

For Invoices:

• Generate an invoice with a test purchase from the marketplace, or wait until the platform generates an invoice.

For Quotes:

1. Go to Manage > Marketplace > HOME | Opportunities> opportunityID. A list of opportunities appear on the Opportunities page.
2. Click an opportunity. The opportunity detail page appears.
3. For any of the quote versions, click gear Icon > Download PDF.
4. Use PDF viewer software to validate the invoice. When the output is acceptable, the test is complete. When any of them does not meet your expectations, continue to the next step to edit the template before you test the output again.
5. (Optional) Go to Edit JSON templates and follow the procedure to edit the template.
6. (Optional) Repeat this procedure.
