Accounts

The Accounts page displays details of your AppDirect account, which you use for integration testing. These tests use your AppDirect account as the customer account. They create, change, and cancel a real subscription for your account. Your account is flagged as a tester account for your own products, so you are not charged for the subscriptions.

The subscriptions always include at least one standalone product, and if an add-on product is connected to it, it appears in the testing flow and can be included in the subscription order. When an add-on product is included in the order, the resulting add-on product subscription appears on, and is managed from, the add-on product Accounts page (not the standalone product Accounts page).

When a subscription is visible, you click it to open the Account Details page, from which you can perform subscription event integration testing.

📝 Note
When no accounts appear in the Accounts table, it displays the following message: You have no account. Test purchasing your product from the profile page. Instead, test your product from the Integration Report page. See Integration report.

Before you can run the tests from the Account Details page, you must create a subscription from the Integration Report page, which tests the SUBSCRIPTION_ORDER event. You can use the subscription (only one exists at a time) to test other subscription events, such as assign and unassign users, and suspend and reactivate an order.

The Accounts page updates as follows:

  • When you run the Subscribe to Your Product (SUBSCRIPTION_ORDER event) test from the Integration Report, the subscription appears on the Accounts page.
  • When you run integration tests on the subscription from the Integration Report or Account Details pages (see the table in this topic), the subscription details update on the Accounts page.
  • When you run the Cancel Subscription test from the Integration Report or Account Details page, it deletes the subscription and it disappears from the Accounts page. The test events, however, remain on the Events.

The following table lists the subscription events that you can test from the Preview Profile, Integration Report and Account Details pages. Links to the respective testing procedures follow the table.
