Submit leads to partner managers

Developers can submit leads that they create, or are assigned, to partner managers (Marketplace Managers). Then, the Marketplace Managers assign them to users such as Sales Support Representatives (SSRs) or Resellers who can contact the potential customers.

When you submit leads to partner managers, you transfer maintenance of the leads to them. Therefore, you can no longer edit the leads but you can view their current status, contact information, notes, and history log.

To submit a lead to partner managers

  1. Go to Manage > Billing & Distribution > Leads. The Leads page opens.
  2. Click the row for a lead that you want to submit to a partner manager. It must be in Pending submission status or it must be assigned to you. The lead details page opens.
  3. Click Manage > Submit to partner managers. The Submit a Lead dialog appears.
  4. Click Submit. The following occurs:
    • A message confirms that the lead is submitted to partner managers. It appears on the Marketplace Manager's Leads page and the Developer's Leads page in Submitted status.
    • The Manage drop-down list options on the lead details page disappear because another user now maintains the lead.
    • The Edit buttons on the lead details page disappear because another user now maintains the lead.
    • The History section on the lead details page displays the submission to partner managers.
