Distributor Connector is GA
Moderate Upgrade
This feature is currently being released to sandbox marketplaces. Expected production announcement: release 758 on November 11, 2026. Dates may change based on validation results.
Marketplace Managers can connect supported distributor accounts under Marketplace > Settings > INTEGRATION | Vendor Integrations, import catalog products into the staging catalog with markup, and sell and fulfill distributor-sourced digital subscriptions and physical hardware through the marketplace.
This release graduates Distributor Connectors to GA and expands what is supported for specific distributors.
What's newβ
Ingram Microβ
- Supports digital and physical products.
- Markets live at GA: United States and Australia. Additional markets can be enabled on request.
- When you connect or update credentials, Ingram credentials are validated against the distributor immediately, so connection issues surface at setup rather than at the first order.
- Digital subscription ordering (create, change seats, cancel) with status kept in sync is confirmed for Microsoft through Ingram. Other vendors may appear in the catalog but must be confirmed with AppDirect before you sell them.
- Hardware drop-ship ordering, distributor order number, and shipment/carrier tracking (and serial/MAC where provided) are confirmed through Ingram.
Westconβ
- New distributor connector for physical (hardware) products only. Digital and subscription products are not available through Westcon.
- Market in scope at this release: Australia. Expanding to other markets requires AppDirect and a catalog data feed agreement with Westcon.
- Catalog loads via a data feed (Westcon does not provide a catalog API); once the feed is agreed and loaded, browse/import behaves like other distributor catalogs.
π Note: Markets listed above are those running today. Additional countries are typically enabled on request once distributor credentials for that market are in place. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to add a specific country or region.
Known limitationsβ
- A product visible in the distributor catalog is not always buyable on your distributor account; place a test order before publishing.
- Published prices are not auto-updated when the distributor changes price; you are notified and must act.
- Some vendor-required identifiers may still fail at the distributor if not collected at checkout.
Prerequisites
None.
Feature enablement
