New notifications for Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) attestation

Minor Upgrade

Important: This feature is currently in the Early Availability (EA) status. For more information on feature status, see Product lifecycle phases.

Sales agents now receive automatic email notifications when a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) attestation reaches a final outcome (accepted or expired). Before this change, agents had to open the Opportunities or Company Details page again to see whether attestation has been accepted. This created a gap in the workflow, particularly when multiple attestations were involved.

The marketplace sends a notification using Notifications V2 when Microsoft reports the attestation status so agents are notified as soon as the status is known without manual checks. Two new notifications support these alerts.

Feature enablement

No feature enablement is required. This feature is enabled by default and available to all.

Setting enablement

To configure MCA email notifications, navigate to the MCA email notification type in Manage Notifications V2. Marketplace Managers can enable the notification to send email alerts or disable it to suppress notifications.

Documentation

Refer to Email notifications for MCA attestation outcomes in Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) attestation.
