Leads

Leads are records of potential customers who are interested in your company's products.

Depending on your marketplace configuration, potential customers can click the Contact Us button on a product or on a Reseller profile to express an interest in a product by submitting their contact information.

Reseller Managers and Resellers can also manually create leads.

Reseller Managers can assign leads to Sales Support Representatives (SSRs) or Resellers. SSRs and Resellers can then convert leads to customers.

Depending on your role, you can delete or disqualify a lead. You can still view the deleted or disqualified lead, but you can no longer edit it.

Resellers Managers can perform any action on a lead throughout the lead’s lifecycle, regardless of who is assigned to that lead. All other users can perform actions only on leads that are assigned to them. Any user who has performed an action on a lead (but no longer owns it) can view the lead throughout its lifecycle.

Reseller Managers can:

  • Manually create leads
  • Assign leads to Resellers and SSRs
  • View, edit, and manage leads
  • Associate leads with user companies
  • Disqualify leads

Resellers own the leads that they create. Resellers can:

  • Manually create leads, as long as they have the proper permission.
  • Send the lead to partner managers.
  • Convert the lead to a new company.
  • Manage leads.
  • Delete leads, as long as they have not been submitted.
  • Disqualify leads that have already been submitted.

The Leads page displays all leads sorted by their current status. It is accessible to Resellers and Reseller Managers at Manage > Reseller > Home | Referral Leads. The page contains four tables where you can view and manage pending, accepted, assigned, and completed leads.
