Test single sign-on
From the Integration Report page, you can test single sign-on (SSO) authentication configuration. First you run an integration test to create a test subscription and assign a user to it. Then, you test authentication with that subscription.
Pre-requisite: Configure authentication settings. See Edit authentication.
To test authentication from the Integration Report page
- Go to Manage > Billing and Distribution > Products > applicationName | Edit > Integration Report. The Integration Report page opens.
- Click Subscribe to your product | Run Test. The Purchase page (step one in the subscription workflow) opens.
- Complete the required fields to create a subscription.
- Click Create Subscription. A message confirms that the subscription was created and the Continue to Assignment button activates. The Events page displays the resulting CREATE SUBSCRIPTION event and the Accounts page displays the resulting test subscription account.
- Click Continue to Assignment to continue to the next test in the flow. The Assignment page opens (step two in the subscription workflow).
- Perform the following steps on the Assignment page to assign users (step three in the subscription workflow).
- Select the checkbox next to the users that you want to assign to the application.
- If you configured User Information to Sync for this product, a dialog appears. Enter the required information, and then click Submit. The dialog closes.
- Click Save Changes. A message confirms that the assignment was successful, and the Test Authentication and Continue to Change Subscription buttons are activated.
- Click Test Authentication in the Authenticate User section to initiate SSO for the user. The following events can occur:
- When the test is successful, Developers are redirected to the Developer company's website as configured on the Edit Authentication page.
- When the test fails, Developers can view the Integration Events (at Manage > Billing and Distribution > Products > productName | Edit > Events) to understand why the authentication failed. Then, edit your authentication settings at Manage > Billing and Distribution > Products > productName | Edit > Integration | Edit Authentication.
- (Optional) Test subscription integration with this test subscription. For more information, see Test integration from Integration Report.
