Tax-inclusive pricing per invoice line in Invoice V2

Billing Pipeline V2 now supports tax-inclusive pricing to help marketplaces meet legal and regional requirements. For marketplaces configured with tax included in prices, invoices now show per-line tax amounts across supported invoice views, PDFs, and APIs. Customers and administrators can view the tax breakdown for individual line items instead of only seeing a total tax amount at the invoice level. This update applies to all new invoices, and legacy invoices are backfilled dynamically when viewed.

• REST v2 and GraphQL APIs expose the following line-level items:
  • taxAmount
  • totalWithTax
  • unitPriceWithTax
• Customers and administrators can now view tax breakdowns for individual invoice line items rather than only a total tax amount at the invoice level.
• Applies to all new invoices; legacy invoices are backfilled with line-level tax details when viewed.

📝 Note

• Developer invoices and credit memos are excluded in this phase.
• Legacy invoice backfill runs on read and does not alter filed tax reports.
• Storefront UI updates for tax-inclusive pricing will follow incrementally in later EA releases.

UI updates

• Customer Portal > Invoices > Invoice Detail — Each line item shows a granular tax breakdown.
• Marketplace Manager > Billing > Invoices > Invoice Detail — Each line item shows a granular tax breakdown.
• Generated invoice PDF templates — Per-line tax amounts are included in the rendered output.

📝 Note: During the EA period, invoices may display tax-inclusive pricing while some storefront UIs continue to show tax-exclusive pricing until those surfaces are updated.
