Credit reason visibility for Ad-hoc credit memos

The Credit Memo detail view is enhanced to display the Credit reason for ad hoc credit memos. Previously, when users created a credit memo, they selected a reason such as discount, bonus, or duplicate, but that reason was not visible anywhere in the UI after the credit memo was created. With this update, marketplace managers and resellers can view the credit memo reason directly in the UI, improving internal visibility into why a credit was issued.

Key highlights

• Displays the Credit reason for ad hoc credit memos in the internal UI for marketplace managers and resellers.
• The Credit reason field is hidden when no credit reason is available.
• Does not display the credit reason on the customer-facing credit memo view or in the downloaded PDF.
• Does not change how the credit reason is captured or stored.

UI updates

A new Credit reason field is added to the Credit Memo details page.

📝 Note: If the reason text exceeds a single line, the credit reason is displayed as a full-width row beneath the details card.

This feature is not enabled by default. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request it.

Setting enablement
