Subscription-level custom attributes on marketplace invoices
Moderate Upgrade
β Important: This feature is currently in Early Availability (EA). For more information on feature status, see Product lifecycle phases.
With this release, subscription-level custom attributes appear on the on-screen invoice view in the marketplace. Custom attributes collect data such as referral sources or customer IDs during subscription flows. Previously, these attributes were visible on other screens but were not displayed in the invoice UI. Marketplace Managers, advisors, and customers can now view these values alongside company and user attributes without navigating back to subscription detail pages.
Key highlightsβ
- Subscription-level custom attributes now display in the marketplace invoice UI in a column labeled Additional Fields.
- Additional Fields appears in both the new and old invoice UIs for all users.
- Includes attributes captured during opportunity, checkout, and subscription-lifecycle flows.
- The platform respects existing visibility rules and localized labels for all displayed attributes.
- If a subscription has no custom attributes, the Additional Fields column is not displayed.
- Empty optional attributes do not render label rows, keeping the invoice view clean.
π Note: Attribute labels must be localized in marketplace-supported languages to display correctly.
UI updatesβ
- Manage > Marketplace > Billing > Invoices > Invoice number β Subscription-level custom attributes appear in the Additional Fields column in both the new and old invoice UIs.
- Invoice line-item views β Subscription-level custom attributes appear at the line-item level where configured.
Known limitationβ
- Invoice PDF templates are not included in this release.
- Quote UI and Quote PDF views are not included.
- Historical invoices are not backfilled with subscription-level custom attributes.
