Deprecation notice for V1 login experience

The V1 login experience is being deprecated. The new, enhanced login experience is more intuitive and supports additional features like enhanced web authentication and a customizable login.

The following V1 authentication pages will be deprecated by mid-July 2025 and retired by end of December 2025:

• Login page
• Sign-up page
• Activation flow
• Forgot password page
• Multi factor authentication

What the new experience will look like:

The new login experience will have a two-step login process which is a secure and streamlined experience, similar to the major online platforms.

Also, customers who have a combination of V1 (the old experience with single step login page) and newer experience options in their login pages will all be upgraded to the new login experience. For example, if a customer has V1 for their Login page, but the Multi factor authentication page already has the new experience, then the Login page will also be updated to the new experience.

The new experience also has an option to customize your login page. All visual customizations for your login pages must now be performed exclusively using the Store Front Builder, as part of the new experience. Older customizations are also being retired.
