Enhanced AWS usage aggregation
Minor Upgrade
This release enhances the accuracy and granularity of how AWS usage for third-party marketplace items (ISVs) is identified and billed
To enable this additional aggregation parameters are added for AWS billing to uniquely identify each third-party marketplace charge. Previously, usage records with the same start and end dates were sometimes aggregated together, which reduced the level of detail available.
The new aggregation configuration now includes:
- Line Item ID
- Invoice ID
- Usage Start Date
- Usage End Date
These parameters ensure that each usage consumption record is identified distinctly, leading to:
- More detailed and accurate AWS third-party charges being reflected on the invoices and purchase orders.
- Resolution of previous issues where incorrect aggregation led to customer complaints regarding billing periods for ISV products.
