Assisted Sales

Some Resellers perform assisted sales. In other words, they purchase products on behalf of end users (their customers). Reseller Managers support Resellers with assisted sales.

📝 Note: You can only purchase products on behalf of users that are members of a different company. For example, if you are a member of two companies, company A and company B, the following is true:

• You can purchase products on behalf of users in company B if you are purchasing from company A.
• You cannot purchase products on behalf of users in company A if you are purchasing from company A.

To determine which assisted sales method is configured for your AppReseller instance, go to the Opportunities list at Manage > Reseller > Opportunities:

• If the Opportunities list displays Opportunity info, Status, Creation Date, and ID columns, your marketplace uses the Opportunities feature. See Opportunities.
• If the Opportunities list displays different columns, see Quotes.

Reseller Managers and Resellers can turn auto-renewal on or off for a customer subscription from the assisted sales order modal, without impersonating the customer. See Manage auto-renewal from the assisted sales order modal.
