Create a lead in purchase workflow

Prerequisites:

  • To view the purchase setup page, you must have Assisted Sales enabled. Contact your AppDirect technical representative.
  • To save a lead as an SSR, you must have the Create leads in assisted sale role permission enabled by your Marketplace Manager. See Configure sales support role permissions.
  • To save a lead as a Reseller, you must have the Reseller company can collect leads permission enabled by the Reseller Manager. See Manage reseller company permissions.

When performing an assisted sale, Resellers and Sales Support Representatives (SSRs) can save leads in the Purchase Setup page.

To save a lead though the Purchase Setup page:

  1. Go to one of the following depending on your role and configuration:
    • Manage > Marketplace >Home | Users > New Lead or Purchase
      SSRs:
    • Manage > Marketplace > Home | Users > user name > New Lead or Purchase
    • Manage > Marketplace > Home | Companies > New Lead or Purchase
    • Manage > Marketplace > Home | Companies > company > New Lead or Purchase
    • Manage > Marketplace > Home | Opportunities > New Lead or Purchase
      Resellers:
    • Manage > Reseller > Home | Users > New Lead or Purchase
    • Manage > Reseller > Home | Users > user name > New Lead or Purchase
    • Manage > Reseller > Home | Companies > New Lead or Purchase
    • Manage > Reseller > Home | Orders > New Lead or Purchase
  2. Click New Lead or Purchase.
  3. Click the Search icon in the Customer section to select a customer.
  4. (Optional) Click the Search icon in the Product section to choose a product.
    You can also add a product to a lead from the Lead details page after it is created.
  5. Click Save as Lead.
    The lead is submitted and added to the Leads table in the Leads page.
