Respond to custom price requests
Reseller Managers are alerted that Resellers have requested a custom price from a customer quote by the following methods:
- Email using the default subject line: Wholesale Price Reseller Manager Activity.
- A quote in the Quotes table with the status Pending Provider Approval (at Manage > Reseller > Home > Home | Quotes).
- An entry in the History table on a quote's details page (at Manage > Reseller > Home > Home | Quotes > {quoteID}).
Resellers create custom price requests as described in Request custom pricing from a quote.
To respond to a custom price request
- Do one of the following to display the Manage Quote page for the custom price request:
- Click the link in the QUOTE_URL field in the email sent to you (this is the default label in the email template and may have been customized).
- Click a quote in the Quotes table (at Manage > Reseller > Home > Home | Quotes) with the status Pending Provider Approval.
- Go to Manage > Reseller > Home > Home | Quotes > {quoteID}.
- Review the request in the History table at the bottom of the page.
- Click Send Wholesale Price, the Request Wholesale Price dialog appears.
- Enter a price or a comment in the Additional Comment field, then click Send. The following events occur:
- The History table for both the Reseller and Reseller Manager updates with the comment.
- An email message is sent to the Reseller with the default subject line: Reseller Manager
{name}
has updated a wholesale quote. - The Reseller continues the conversation or converts the quote into a sale as described in Request custom pricing from a quote.
