Incorporate placeholders

Important: As of December 1, 2020 the OpenID 2.0 integration option described in this topic is deprecated and is no longer available for new product integrations. Existing integrations that use OpenID 2.0 continue to work. For enhanced security, AppDirect recommends that you use OpenID Connect or SAML to authenticate applications, and that you migrate existing products that use OpenID 2.0 to one of those authentication methods.

When you format the login URL and realms, use the following template fields:

• openid template field—Required. It is populated with a user's unique OpenID URL, which they need to initiate the OpenID process.
• accountIdentifier template field—Optional. It is populated with the unique account identifier provided by you, the developer, during a subscription order.

Following are URL template examples:

• https://example.com/login?openid\_url=openid
• https://accountIdentifier.example.com/login?openid\_identifier=openid
• https://example.com/login/openid=openid&accountId=accountIdentifier
